Can you believe it is almost Summer 2021? My kiddo is graduating preschool and starting Kindergarten in the fall and I just am not sure how the time has passed so quickly.
It’s crazy to think just a few short years ago I was a new mom, with no idea what I was doing (I still don’t know what I am doing!). Now I’ve got these two crazy kiddos and they are just growing so fast.
I’ve been looking for a few different things to keep the kids occupied this summer. So I decided to compile this list of 10 fun Summer activities for your kiddos!
10 Summer Activities for Kids from Home
DIY BIRD FEEDER KIT
I am obsessed with DIY kits and bonus points since this one is involves nature! How cute are these bird feeder kits? These bird feeder DIY kits from SEEDSOFLOVELLC on Etsy are just adorable and a perfect summer day craft project for kiddos.
2. Rock & Crystal Mining
One of my favorite things as a kid was mining for rocks/crystals/gold. My dad use to take us to the mountains and we would go panning for gold/rocks. I always loved finding unique rocks with different colors. We’ve done this with our kids as well and they certainly love it!
3. Sensory Bins
If you have younger kids sensory bins can be a lot of fun. These would be great in the backyard, but can also be used inside on a rainy day. (I know it’s the ‘Sunshine State’, but it rains A LOT in Florida!)
4. suncatcher kits
Suncatchers are so much fun to make and these are perfect for kiddos. This shop has so many different varieties of suncatcher kits to go with whatever your kid is into.
5. gardening
What better way to spend your summer than gardening! I love that this kit is designed for kids and makes it super easy to grow your own garden. This is something to occupy their time for weeks to come.
6. build a fort
What kid doesn’t love building a fort? You can build one inside or outside and the kids will have hours of fun! I love this fort kit with everything you need to make an awesome fort at home.
7. nature play dough
My kids loveeee play dough (me and my house, not so much!), but it’s always a fun activity for the kids. These kids are adorable and come with nature themed add-ins for a really fun play dough experience.
8. scavenger hunt
Scavenger hunts are so much fun and kids love them!
9. CORK BOAT CRAFT
Make a cork boat! This would be super fun and could then be used in a pool or a bathtub!
10. Paint a t-shirt
I love this idea! You can let your kiddo paint their own t-shirt! It would be so much fun for a kid to paint and then wear their creation!
